My lack of posts lately stems from the fact that I don’t have a lot to say. I’m not one to post if I don’t have something to talk about. And by something to say, I don’t mean to suggest that everything I write is worthy of posting from the start. Bear with me…
The last two weeks of workouts have been pretty decent. A few great runs, a few meh ones, and a couple really bad ones. I am getting to the point of race training burnout with less than 2 weeks until the 10 mile race. I sort of just want to run for fun. I enjoy weekend long runs and week day 5-6 milers with no real pace in mind. I put pressure on myself to complete the speed work in it’s entirety and with the “correct” paces, and because of that I start to dread some of my training runs. I can’t say I am bored of running, just tired of the pressure I am applying to myself. (Remind me of this post when I get crazy enough to sign up for a full marathon, please.)
