Work It Out

Before I get to the not so exciting details of my workouts lately, a couple things.

First, I owe the blog world a "7 things" meme post. I was nominated by the lovely and very speedy Lindsay from Atlanta Running Mom. She is faster then I will ever be even with a jogging stroller. I promise it is coming soon. I am actually curious to see what I come up with in my search.

Second, I've about had it with shorts. I've deemed yet another pair of running shorts unsuitable for my fabric swallowing thighs. They were these Nikes. I thought the extra length would help, but not so much. Even with Body Glide. The seems inside the legs did a number on my legs last night. Probably the worst chafing I've had to date. And I only ran 3.5 miles!  I am mad I took the tags off these. I wore them a couple weeks ago and had no problems. I have no idea what the difference was this time.

Here are the ones that have been crossed off my list:

Nike Tempos
a looser C9 variety from Target*
Nike Tempo 2-in-1's* ( I had high hopes for these, but the under short isn't long enough)
Nike Woven 6" *

*These are still wearable for shorter distances, so they aren't a complete waste.

I'm going to be stocking up on my favorite Nike Pro compression shorts and succumb to the fact that I will never be able to effortlessly stock up on Nike Tempos when they go on sale in funky colors, or rock any of the other cute/tiny/light/functional running shorts I see out and about. I don't feel like it's fair to be honest. I have always had athletic thighs, and have cursed them when buying other clothes like jeans and dress pants, but now? Even running shorts are causing me grief. Ugggh.
