Err… not. Would it been too much to ask for the Twins to win on my first outing to their new home, Target field? Apparently so. God already gave us The Perfect Day for attending an outdoor baseball game. Who was I to ask for more? Considering I am not a huge baseball fan, I only care to root for the hometown team in every sport as much as the next guy. Even though they lost, my first time at Target Field was pretty great.
Like I mentioned, the weather was perfect. It was in the mid 80’s and our seats were in the shade. There was a cool breeze and my $8 beer tasted like it cost $20.
I have to admit it also got me pretty excited to travel to a baseball Mecca (is that accurate?) in August; none other than Wrigley Field. Two very different yet very awesome ball parks in the span of a month? Don’t mind if I do.
(Who am I? Is it hockey season yet?)
I kid, I kid. I will take the sun, breeze, and slow pace of the ball game for a few more months. Fortunately I have appropriate apparel for every occasion.
Between this and yesterday’s post, have I convinced you to come visit Minnesota yet?!?! Hurry up and get here. You only have about two and a half more months before it all goes to hell. Depending on your point of view of course.
