Food: We made the ever awesome Pumpkin Penne from Cara’s Cravings. I love this dish. A perfect balance of protein and carbs. I was very happy when Mr. BKL choose it when we were “meal planning” this week. I use quotes because we really only plan one or two meals depending on the week. In order to create leftovers, we doubled the recipe this time.
Fitness: New Rules of Lifting Strength 1, C5 and a 2 mile run. C workout is deadlift day! I was at the gym much alter them my usual and got quite a few comments. Apparently the dudes were impressed. It felt good to get in a good sweat since I made the executive decision to skip the gym yesterday and shop instead. Going to be an interesting few weeks balancing new work duties and hours with workouts.
Fun: Day 2 of my new job. I am categorizing it as fun for now – ask me in a few months how I feel! It is very fast paced. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful though. Oh and this is fun….
I saved this bottle and said I am not opening it until I get a job. It’s not like it’s a $100 bottle of wine, but it cost more then I normally spend on wine. Which isn’t much. Anyway, who doesn’t want a wine in their name? Bottoms up! (If you don’t have that song in your head now, you are lucky.)
