Food: I promise I eat healthy, I do. Tonight’s “dinner” was more of a snack. At least my crackers were Kashi! I also had one of my favorite finds from Trader Joe’s – cranberry goat cheese. Delish. Dessert was another fun little nugget…Oikos with chocolate.
I usually don’t buy Oikos because Fage and Chobani are cheaper and tastier in my opinion, but this caught my eye. Also at Target…only $3.99 for 4 of ‘em, where as at Cub they are over $5. Yeah, I know that’s still really not that cheap. Yeah, I know I could have added my own chocolate to some Fage or Cho. This stuff is pretty good though.
Fitness: New Rules of Lifting Strength 1, A5. The math part of this blog title comes in when I added my weights wrong. I know I am not alone on this…I know there are a few of you out there who have added wrong. I actually thought I was lifting less then I was. I did 145 for back squat instead of 140 which I thought I was putting on the bar. Eh…whatever. Sometimes mistakes lead to PR’s. Those who know me in real life know of my inept math skillz, and know what a pair this makes Mr. BKL and me. Opposites attract.
Fun: One word. Andre.
I am not sure if I’ve ever had what is known as a good champagne. I would always rather spend my money on a good beer. Pretty sure they only times I have had champagne is for New Years (cheap) and in mimosas at various brunches and breakfasts…. which, come to think of it, might have had good champagne since someone else bought it!
More to come in the next few days about the reasoning behind opening a cheap bottle of champagne that was purchased for New Years Eve. They say everything happens for a reason…apparently the reason for having some champagne on hand to celebrate tonight was being sick on New Years.
Random: I noticed the swimsuits were out at Target tonight. Why must they taunt me? The pretty suits and fun flirty cover ups. That combined with some besties being on a Caribbean cruise as we speak, and getting the swimsuit edition of the Victoria’s Secret catalogue over the weekend….to say I am craving a warm weather vacation is an understatement. A girl can dream!
