Today’s Food: Even though I prefer red, yellow, and orange bell peppers to green, I can tolerate one now and then as long as it’s smothered in some kind of delicious sauce. Case in point: tonight’s stir fry.
In the mix:
-chicken breast seasoned with chili powder, salt and pepper
-green bell pepper
-two sad little carrots left over from Sunday when Mr. BKL made us a delicious dinner of wild rice soup from my new Betty Crocker cookbook. I helped as much as I could in between icing my finger. He’s a gem.
For the sauce:
-TJ’s Soyaki (sp?) sauce
-a few drizzles of Siracha sauce
-a little flour for thickening
Today’s fitness: 4 miles on the dreadmill. 4x800’s and then some. Still not feeling 100% with this cold.
Today’s fun: We started season 3 of Californication last night. It’s a bit ridiculous and gratuitous, but still entertaining. Any fans?
I also watched the ABC special from last night called Celebrity Diets. You can watch it here. I have so many things to say about it, I better save it for a later post. I was actually surprised at how realistic it was and the lack of promising quick fixes. Did you watch it? What do you think?
