Update: Midweek Maple and ramblings

So remember how I had all that extra frosting to use up?  I made more cookies.  And still had to throw some out.  And I licked the spatula, and the knife I used to frost the cookies.  Then I threw it out. So now I have cookies again with no where to go but into mah belly.  Cookies eaten thus far – 1. 

It was all balanced out by my dinner which was pretty much saucy eggs on top of the remaining garbanzo beans from the randomness that was also pictured yesterday, and a banana. 

I recently purchased my fist bag of dried lentils.  I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever eaten a lentil before.  And until recently I had never had a brussel sprout before, either.  I am debating between a few different lentil recipes to test the proverbial lentil waters with next week sometime.  Any others I should know about to help make my decision harder?

And even though I have zero connection (besides a few of their players are from Minnesota or played for a hockey-famous high school here) I was happy to see the Blackhawks take home the big hardware last night.  Even though he played for UND while they were still the Sioux, Jonathan Toews seems like decent kid.  I say kid because he just turned 22.  Hmm.  Let’s see, what was I doing at 22?  Not winning the Stanley Cup, that’s for certain.
