We like things hot at the beesknees household. I am talking about food of course. I have always liked hummus and really like Holy Land's (a local restaurant) jalapeno hummus. One day it donned on me to try my own at home. I apologize for not having exact measurements, but I feel when it comes to dips everyone likes to adjust things to their tastes anyway.
Jalapeno Hummus
1 can garbanzo beans
1-2 tbl. tahini
1-2 tbl. olive oil
1 can jalapenos (I used Ortega this time, you can also use fresh jalapenos, but I had these on hand)
2 heaping tbl. of Fage 0% Greek yogurt (any plain yogurt will do)
Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until creamy. Serve with pita chips or as a salad topping. We like Stacy's Simply Naked pita chips.
Very interesting, my MIL tried a jalapeno humus she liked, will have to pass this on. Thanks for sharing.
